Peter's story.

 

Peter Findlay is the founder of the Panorama Art Group. A well-known and celebrated South Australian artist, Peter has been painting, teaching and judging art in South Australia for over 50 years.

 

Peter established the Panorama Art Group from humble beginnings back in 1969. The group has gone from strength to strength over the years; with many well-known South Australian artists having been taught by Peter at some stage throughout their careers.

 

Peter enjoys painting a wide range of subjects and scenarios; from people to animals, portraits to landscapes. Peter has also been commissioned to paint many famous celebrities throughout his years of painting; a highlight of which was being asked to paint and personally deliver portraits of The Beatles during their Adelaide visit in 1964. 

Peter brings an expanse of experience and knowledge to his classes and he is able to teach a variety of mediums to his students, although he is highly skilled in oil. He encourages a fun, relaxed, environment where his students can explore and learn but above all, love their artwork.

Lessons are held at Peter’s home studio in       Flagstaff Hill.
